The Ecumenical Jury at the 56th Cannes Film Festival will present its award to one of the films selected for the official competition this year.
Since 1974, the jury, which will be presided over by Denyse Muller and includes Ida Ghali, Kristine Greenaway, Mathilde de Romefort, Antoine Rochat and Charles Martig analyses films according to their artistic merits and the degree to which they bear witness to the human condition. The award is meant to emphasise the spiritual dimension of our existence and fundamental values like justice, dignity, peace, respect and solidarity.
